The Scottish Borders sent many local soldiers to Gallipoli and we have worked with the council’s museum service on an exciting project to create artworks in textiles, with Hawick High School. Two of the students went to the project conference in March 2016, where they presented the banners and spoke about their work.  Click here for a PDF of their presentation, which describes the role that the King’s Own Scottish Borderers played at Gallipoli and the commemoration project done by the Hawick High School students.
